I’m a girly girl and wanted to stick with the colors light pink and gray for my baby shower. So when I came across the Chalkboard Buggy invitation I knew it was perfect. I especially loved the chalkboard look of it and the classic looking baby carriage on top. My invitation quickly became the inspiration behind the theme for my baby shower.
In the back there are baby and childhood photos of me and my partner hanging from twine with clothespins. Beneath our pictures are some of my baby clothes I am wearing in those pictures. Yes I know my Mom is slightly crazy for keeping my baby keep sakes for so long (try 27 years, lol) but everyone loved this.
My Aunts had these yummy cupcakes made for me. They were topped with vintage looking baby diapers and safety pins. All edible of course!
Here are more of my baby treasures, lol. My old baby shoes and baby brush next to our soon-to-be little one’s ultrasound picture. These little details definitely made my classic theme come to life.
My cake came out so adorable! I love the little details of the ruffles on the baby’s bottom and the pearl like details on the bottom layer of the cake.
On the backside of the baby shower invitation read, “Just one last request, and we hope it’s not too hard. Please bring baby Londyn a book in place of a card. By signing your book, we will remember and share your special gift, even when you’re not there!” This is an idea I got from another baby shower I went to and it was a success. She now has a mini library and a note inside from everyone who attended.
I’m in the center wearing my “Mother to be” tiara with my girlfriends. I have known these girls since elementary school and am so blessed to have such good friends in my life. Overall my baby shower turned out perfect thanks to my Mom and everyone had a great time! XO
