With Earth Day coming up on April 22nd, I thought it would be a great idea to write about how to keep your family green. Based on my research on the wonderful Wikipedia, Earth Day began from an environmental movement in 1970. It is the only event that is participated simultaneously by all people around the world. Check out the Earth Day Network, a nonprofit organization that was made up of the founders of the first Earth Day in 1970, for events that may be happening this year in your neighborhood.
Another website that I came across is Nature Moms Blog which provides readers with valuable information on green family living. I love how it discusses creative ways to keep your kids healthy, happy and entertained. Some of the topics talked about is eating organic, recycling your Easter eggs and gardening, and it gives really great book reviews. Check this site out to learn a few things you might want to try this Earth Day.
Though Kermit the Frog had a hard time being green, it might not be so hard for you and your family. In the spirit of nature and everything green, I choose these cards to hopefully inspire green living this Earth Day!
