We are so excited to have Emily from Boxwood Clippings share her lovely baby shower inspiration!

Hi there! This is Emily joining you from over at Boxwood Clippings. I’m visiting today to share a simple DIY that was inspired by Tiny Prints baby shower invitations.

When we’re planning a party, we always need a starting point for our inspiration, that’s when we head over to the Tiny Print website to see what we can find! Sarah’s nursery and a lot of her baby products are grey and white, so when I stumbled upon their ‘Tea Rose‘ invitation I knew it was perfect for her shower. Grey, white and really feminine!

This invitation usually has a touch of pink, but with a quick email to the Tiny Prints design team they made it all grey and white, just like I wanted! However, since she is having two girls, I decided to add a touch of baby pink to the decor for the shower. :) We also loved how you can customize the text. Being from England, we definitely had to have the invite say ‘Mummy’ instead of ‘Mommy’! Little details like this really help personalize!

Simple decorations within your color theme will really help make your space look more put together, and all dressed up for the occasion! For this shower we kept it simple with heart balloons, streamers and matching gift wrap. See more HERE!

Soft grey decorations were hard to find, so we made this simple bunting out of tissue paper to go with the store bought streamers. Using tissue paper help make the decorations feel light and airy, we loved it!

TO MAKE THE BUNTING YOU WILL NEED:

  • Tissue Paper
  • String (we like baker’s twine)
  • Tape
  • Scissors
  • Triangle template, made with a sheet of paper

HOW TO:

1. First, trace a triangle on tissue paper, and cut out.

2. Next, lay the string across the top of the triangles.

3. Simply fold the edges over and hold in place with tape.

Wasn’t that easy?! The whole thing look less than and hour and really added to our theme.
Hope you were inspired today! If so, be sure to pop over and see us at Boxwood Clippings!
