Pencils are sharpened and backpacks are bought—it’s definitely time to go back to school. But instead of sending them off with the typical PB&J in their lunch box, why not surprise them with a little something special? Just imagine their face when they open up their lunch box to find their own cheering section!
Here’s how to make your own…
What you need:
- Lunch box
- Construction paper
Choose the paper you want to write on—we picked black paper that gives the effect of a chalkboard. Cut the paper to the size of your lunch box and also the pennants for your banner.
Write a fun message—we chose “Yay for the first day.” We’re poets and we know it.
Hot glue the pennants to the ribbon and then the whole banner onto the piece of paper. Finish it off by hot gluing the piece of paper to the lunch box.
Prepare for a big hug.
