Debbie from Party Patisserie shares her Halloween Sour Apple Witches Brew Cocktail recipe inspired by our Halloween Costumes & Cocktails Halloween party invitation.
Halloween is such a great time for parties, and this fun invite from Tiny Prints, Costumes & Cocktails, gave me the perfect opportunity to come up with a special drink to serve my guests. I wanted one that would be great for adults and kids alike. Having a signature drink at your party makes it a little easier on you, too.
And everyone knows a signature cocktail needs a good name. This brew, sour apple mix and 7 Up, is called Sour Apple Witches Brew. (This is the kid-friendly version.)
Everyone loves the taste of apples in the fall, and the witchy green color is perfect for Halloween.
This special brew is so easy to make. All you need is 7 UP and Sour Apple Mix. This mix is a great starter to make all kinds of different drinks. Mix equal parts 7 UP and Sour Apple Mix, then top with plenty of ice. If you prefer a punch, just add vanilla or sherbert ice cream.
To dress up the brew and make it a little more festive, I made some witches legs stirs. They are pretty simple and add that wow factor to your drink.
Cross two black-and-white straws and secure them with a little hot glue. To give the straws a pop of color and the perfect finishing touch, add a little sugar pumpkin where the straws cross. To finish it off, cut out 2 little witches shoes from black card stock and hot glue to the top of each straw. Your guests will love them.
The chalkboard glasses were a perfect choice to serve the brew in. With space to write your name, no one will accidentally swipe your drink!
For the over 21 crowd, simply add a little vodka and ice.
