Katie from Twin Stripe shares her holiday gift bags inspired by our Christmas card design Merry Arrows.

While I’m not a big a fan of the cold, December is easily one of my favorite months. I love celebrating the season with my family and friends. Each year I take the time to send holiday greeting cards to my loved ones. When searching for the perfect card this year, I fell in love with Tiny Prints Merry Arrows Christmas card. I loved the modern look of the chevrons, the bold colors and of course the gold glitter.

I was inspired to put together some holiday favors – bags filled with pretzels dipped in creamy white chocolate with gold sprinkles – to match my holiday cards. These favors would be perfect addition to holiday stockings, a Christmas place setting or holiday gift.

To make chocolate covered pretzels, start by melting the white baking chocolate in the microwave. You do not want to burn the chocolate, so microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between each. Once the chocolate is melted, Dip your pretzels into the melted chocolate and let any excess drip off. Then shake sprinkles all over the chocolate. Place the finished pretzels on parchment paper to harden.

Once the chocolate has hardened, divide the pretzels up between clear bags, which you can find at your local craft store. Fold the bag over once and secure with a staple. Print and cut out your favorite treat bag topper, which you can download here. Fold the topper in half and use double sided tape to attach it to the treat bag.

Your friends and family will love this custom holiday treat. When I hosted my girl friends for a gift wrapping party, I handed them out as everyone was heading home. It was the perfect snack after a long day of gift wrapping. Happy holidays!
