Marilyn from Pink Martinis and Pearls shares her USC cake pops that compliment our USC graduation announcements beautifully.

When I saw the Tiny Prints USC graduation announcements I knew my USC Cake Pops would be a natural complement to celebrate the graduate’s accomplishment with a fun Spirit of Troy theme!

Being a Trojan alumna, and a mom to a soon-to-be college grad, cake pops in the graduate’s university’s colors, cardinal and gold for USC, with the collegiate font and familiar icons do double duty serving as the centerpiece of the party and dessert.

Of course, they would also make the perfect party favors for guests. Add ribbon in the school’s color or flags with the words all Trojans keep close to their hearts – “Fight On!”, “Traveler”, and “Conquest” or print out the good wishes coming the graduate’s way – “We’re so proud!”, “You did it!”, “Woo Hoo!”, “Congratulations!”

My on blog, Pink Martinis and Pearls, I’ve posted a tutorial showing how to bake and decorate your own collegiate cake pops. I have a printer that I use solely for printing edible images but many bakeries will provide this service for you.

Collegiate themed cake pops are fun for tailgate season too.

  1. Wow. Who would have guessed that cake pops could be so easily made this lovely to fit into a theme? It seems that everywhere I go there are cake pops now so they are quite popular so I’m sure these would be a hit! I love the idea of using them as a centerpiece AND party favor! About the only thing I could think of that would make these better would be if they were for UCLA instead. ;)

Those cake pops are impressive! I actually had the joy of working with Marilyn from Pink Martinis and Pearls on her Letterpress Business Cards! What a small world. :)
