Most people who work with me know that I love Facebook.  In fact, I helped create our Tiny Prints facebook page . Unfortunately, one thing Facebook does not provide is a direct connection to people with similar thoughts and values.

Today, there are lots of great sites out there for moms who are looking to connect, share tips and even get together socially. There a tons of great sites out there, but below are just a few recommendations to get you started:

  • Cafe Mom is the world’s largest social networking site for moms.  The site offers a community where moms can create customizable profile pages, join friend networks and find relevant groups for sharing stories and advice.
  • Mom Junction is a place for moms to share wisdom and answers with each other, while also helping them to organize their lives with calendars, messaging and photo sharing.
  • Moxie Moms is a site for moms to meet each other for casual and charitable events, as well as to receive discounts from local retailers.

Also, feel free to recommend other sites to our readers that you may be involved with!

Mommytalk.com and TypeAmom are not on that list? THat is so where it is at moms! TypeAmom.net and http://www.Mommytalk.com are mommy operated sites! nothing like supporting a mom, right:)

Hi! I just would love to toss out Type-A Mom at http://typeamom.net as an alternative to some of the corporate “mom” networks that are actually run by men and investors. I operate Type-A Mom as an individual mom, the moms who participate get a share of the revenue, and I feel that all makes it more of a community. I also run a social network for foodie moms at http://foodiemama.com and one for dads at http://dadosphere.com .
    :)

Oh, and I would also mention another wonderful social network for moms… It’s Mommy Talk. We are co-hosting a back to school party there, and it is so much fun to chat with moms there. That URL is http://mommytalk.com

Yeah mommytalk.com! Type A Mom has loads of great info for moms by moms. I also like Mom Bloggers Club~

  5. Another great social site for moms is realmomsrock.com! It’s run by one mom (me) out of her basement. How’s that for a ‘real mom’? :) There is a forum to chat with other moms as well as a store, a blog and a giveaway for featured mom each month! I’m just getting started, I would love it if you could support RMR!

  6. All these Social Networking sites are wonderful!!!!

I would love to add our Baby Social network! BabySpot.com, focused on sharing your precious moments that your baby gives you with your family and friends! All Moms and Dads welcome! Oh and Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents too! lol

I was on FB disabled my account and you can read my post here.

For some reason, I guess they must not like anyone using it for businesses.
