It arrives with a ribbon, sometimes even wrapping paper. Even before you open the box you know what’s in it. The smell leaks out, tickling your nose and your taste buds, teasing you with its sweet aroma.
You can picture the chocolates all nestled in their little papers, waiting for you to decide what you’ll pick first. Tantalizing and potentially delightful.
Will it be the milk chocolate star? The white chocolate tear drop? Will you be daring and go for the foil wrapped cube?
Once you’re picked one you still don’t know what you’re going to find in the center. Unless you check the box’s insert. But you wouldn’t, right? That would be cheating.
Instead you take a tentative bite.
Bliss. It’s hazelnut.
