One of the Tiny Prints staffers came in this morning concerned that his Trader Joe’s peanut butter had been recalled. Since none of us really knew how far-reaching the recall really was, we hopped online to gather as much information as we could about the national peanut butter and peanut butter paste recall.

If you are concerned about any of the peanut butter products in your pantry, check out this updated list of recalled products from the FDA. You can even search by brand to see if your particular items were recalled. We were shocked to see Keebler Cheese & Peanut Butter Crackers on the list (our coworkers chomp through dozens of packs of them each day!) and Trader Joe’s celery and peanut butter ReadyPacs. Luckily, however, our staffer’s peanut butter escaped the list.

If you are curious about how the Salmonella Typhimurium outbreak started, read this article from the Wall Street Journal. Be forewarned, however—it almost left me swearing off peanut products for life!

Oh I just heard about this because Zone bars were recalled and my roommate’s company makes them. It is astonishing how many products are impacted!
