A close friend of mine is coming up on the five year anniversary of her wedding, and each day that brings her nearer to that point brings growing speculation about when she will get pregnant.

Her family members want little babies running around, and they aren’t afraid to let her know.

There have even been rumors so far-reaching that they required public proclamations to the contrary on her Facebook page!

Have you ever experienced this kind of pregnancy peer pressure? How did you handle it? Do you think it comes out of a loving desire to expand your family, or does it make you uncomfortable? Did it stop after your first child? You tell us!

as the dear friend mentioned above, i must just say publicly that pregnancy peer pressure is ANNOYING. people shouldn’t be forced into having a baby because it suits everyone else’s desires. having a baby is a very personal decision because it changes the course of your entire life. it is also a major responsibility and there is nothing wrong with potential parents evaluating when they will be able to give their potential children the best possible experiences under the best circumstances. so, in summary, people should cool it!

That’s terrible. This poor woman could be dealing with infertility and desperately want a child. People need to think before they open their mouths.
