The weather might be a bit confused here in California, sending us triple digit temperatures when we should be starting to pull out jackets and scarves, but there’s really no doubt, fall is really here.
How do I know?
Easy, signs are starting to go up in the usual spots announcing the impending arrival of the annual pumpkin patches.
I love the pumpkin patch. Thousands of pumpkins of every size imaginable, hay rides, candy corn, and smiling children everywhere. It’s a playground for a mom who happens to be a little camera happy. Every year I snap dozens of shots of my own little pumpkins as they sort through the rows and rows of options. My favorite pictures are always the ones where they try to pick up the heavy ones. It never fails to make me smile.
This year, instead of letting my pumpkin pictures languish in my computer, I’m putting them to good use. Since the photos are never ideal for Christmas Cards, instead I’m going to use them for Halloween Cards. Unusual maybe, but I have no doubt that they’ll make some friends and family members smile when they get the unexpected treat in the mail!
