With the infamous “Black Friday” looming only two weeks from today, retailers are already leaking their Black Friday sales in order to start the shopping frenzy with a bang.

We’ve already heard that hot holiday toys like Zhu Zhu pets are selling out across the country, with retailers like Wal-Mart and Target putting limits on how many people can buy to prevent hoarding and re-selling.

Never in a million years. It’s a rather exquisite form of self-torture in my estimation.

The day after Thanksgiving this year will be spent hibernating, if I’m lucky. More likely, it will be spent at the local interactive/exploring museum allowing the little ones to burn off the energy they bottled trying to behave at Grandma’s the day before.

  2. I’m 200% with Paul: Never, Never, NEVER! Not worth the crowds and craziness. I’d rather shop online or put up the Christmas stuff. Or hike. Or be water-tortured …. ok, not the last one.

I have watched videos of the Black Friday madness and can not imagine any circumstance that would find me there. Although, perhaps it could be mad into a funny video. Someone dressing up in a funky custom,, like Black Friday Man and going around throwing nerf darts or some other harmless thing at peopl to add to the chaos. Heck we are the print industry, brand the darts with store specials or something.

So, on black friday, I get up eary (like 3 am) load my car with fresh hot and delicious coffee, tea, hot chocolate and dozens of fresh baked and homemade goodies…I then sell it all to those people waiting in line for their “bargans”!!! We make a HUGE profit every year! I love BLACK FRIDAY.

black friday is fun!!! when i was younger… now that i’m a family man… no way.. who wants to wait in line at 2am while fighting the cold rain… and especially for a deal that isn’t really a deal… plus here in california.. they’ll get you with sales tax… so you’re not really saving anything…

i’m just going to buy online.. actually i think half of my christmas shopping list items are done.. i started in march.
