No one loves a countdown more than kids, but most little ones can’t quite make it to midnight on New Year’s Eve. The perfect solution? Attend a “Noon Year’s Eve” party!

Popular at museums, zoos and other family friendly locales, Noon Year’s Eve gets a jump on the holiday celebrating with a countdown to 12 pm (noon) as opposed to 12 am (midnight). The kids get to participate in the countdown, screaming, “Happy New Year!” when the clock strikes 12 just like their parents will be doing at midnight!

If you can’t find a Noon Year’s Eve party in your area, there’s still plenty of time to host one at your home. Simply make sure you have plenty of noise makers (pots and pans work too!), confetti and sparkling cider on hand!
