My youngest child and I share a common love of candy. We’re not picky, we’ll eat pretty much anything gummy, sugar coated or chocolaty. When her older sister walked away from a half eaten marshmallow Peep we almost fought for the abandoned half. My grown-up sense prevailed at the last second and I let her have the treat, but I’ll admit that it was only because I couldn’t think of any good ways to distract her first.
Her birthday is coming up soon and I came across a photo this week that tickled my party planning bone.
As a child I always dreamed of having a candy bar at my birthday parties. Now that I’m a grown-up I can make it happen for my mini-me. I can just imagine her eyes if I were to prepare a sweet feast like this.
It’ll be something she’ll never forget. It might be something I never forget!
