Mom Talk – Another rainy weekend

We had big plans for this weekend which included a trip to the grand re-opening of a small local zoo. We’ve been looking forward to this day for weeks. It’s even on our home calendar!
But as they say, the weather outside is frightful so we may just have to forgo our zoo exploring plans, something which is going to make two little girls very, very sad.
To make it up to them I’ll undoubtedly pull out the paints and maybe even the Play-Doh and hope that does the trick of distracting them.
Help me out, how would you entertain two little girls when outside it looks like this:

I feel your pain. I’ve got 14 month old twins and it’s been raining/storming for the past FIVE days! We’ve been doing a lot of jumping on the bed and building forts (I highly recommend that one!), and pulling all of the clothes out of the dresser only to have Mommy re-fold everything and put it back to, you guessed it, pull them all out again! We’ve also been chasing the dog around a lot more than usual
Good Luck. I don’t know how old your girls are but making pretzels from scratch or baking cookies is always a hit with preschoolers.
