I have a small confession to make. My girls are not twins, but sometimes I relish dressing them the same. I don’t go all the way down the identical clothing road, I just let myself be lured by dresses that have the same patterns in different colors.

I never intended to be the kind of mom who matched up her kid, and I most definitely don’t do this every day, but some days I have to admit, I get a kick out of it. Similar hair styles, similar dresses, similar shoes. It makes them easy to pick them out in a crowd and it always draws some great compliments.

I know that my time for doing this is very limited. The girls are just over two years apart, meaning that sooner rather than later one of them is going to balk at looking just like her sister. In the meantime I’m going to enjoy what little control I can wield on their wardrobe.
