What are baby book showers?
They are the latest shower theme trend. Guests bring their favorite children’s books as gifts so that the mother will have ample books to read to her child. This would also be a great idea for a child’s first birthday. Here is a list of things you can do to make her baby book shower even more fun and memorable.
1) Give her gift tags to stick on each book with the baby’s name on it.

2) Serve alphabet cake. These cakes are from Martha Stewart and Family Fun.

3) Requests that guests bring their favorite picture books for the new mom.

4) Have guests sign this photo guest book by Adesso.

5) Give out handmade book favors like these from Martha Stewart, or send them home with store bought ones like these adorable favors from Favor Creative.

Looking for some cool favor ideas for your next party? Take a look at some of these ways to help make your party favors truly great!
1) Mint tins. Whether you are planning a shower, birthday party or any other special gathering, Tiny Prints has a variety of mint tins you can customize.

2) Cupcake containers. If you are doing cupcakes instead of a cake, send guests home with one of these adorable cupcake containers from The Container Store. That way they can enjoy a cupcake at home and you won’t be stuck with all the leftovers!

3) Candy boxes. Send them home with boxes filled with sweets and they’ll be so grateful.

A lot of people don’t realize that the invitations on Tiny Prints are so easy to customize that it allows you to get really creative. For instance, one idea I had was to give your guests a recipe as a unique party favor idea. All you have to do is select a Tiny Prints invitation design and change the text so that it features one of your favorite sweet treats. Then the “recipe card” can be paired with a baking utensil (cookie cutter, measuring cup, etc.). This is a fun way to share your most-loved recipes with your friends and family.
Check out two different examples with my favorite recipe for Red Velvet Cupcakes (yes, we love cupcakes at Tiny Prints and like to blog about them):

And these recipes can be paired with these delightful measuring cups…

What are some creative ways that you have reworked Tiny Prints designs? We would love to hear your ideas!

Running out of time and ideas for creative party favors? Keep reading, I may be able to help.
Recently, Tiny Talker Lynn ingeniously came up with an original idea for my upcoming wedding. Since I adore reading as much as I love writing, she thought of a way to incorporate this theme in my favors. She took a Tiny Prints birth announcement with three places for a photo, outdid herself with three beautiful illustrations, and had the idea of cutting them into three equal parts to make darling bookmarks.
While they suit my informal and fun wedding perfectly, I realized that it would also work well for birthday parties. Add three different pictures of your child’s photo, divide them with a cutting board, punch holes in each and add them with matching ribbon. Everyone, especially friends and family, will love taking them home as a keepsake of your precious little one and to remind them of this special day.
