A Fresh New Take on Christmas Trees!
Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008
Like many people, one of our stylish staffers here at Tiny Prints recently purchased his family’s Christmas tree. Unlike most city dwellers, however, he actually chopped down his own tree! He and his family ventured to a local Christmas tree farm that allowed him to cut down the tree of his choice. He paid slightly more for his tree, and he noted that it wasn’t the perfectly shaped kind you can find in lots with groomed trees, but the experience was well worth it.
Among the perks of cutting your own tree, he cited that the tree was fresh and beautiful, that his purchase supported local tree farms and that it was a great experience for his family. The Rancho Siempre Verde tree farm he visited featured picnic tables, swings tied to big trees and even family dogs running around. He says that you could spend hours there, and that it was clear that cutting their own trees was a cherished tradition for many of the families there.
What do you think? Are you interested in starting a new tradition of cutting down your own trees?
