Much to my delight, last night kicked off the start of NFL football season. Were you and your family watching? For many parents, cheering on your favorite pro athletes coincides with cheering on your favorite family athletes, and if you’ve got student athletes living under your roof, you know that back-to-school sports season brings on a slew of new commitments.

Team sports are a great way for kids to make lasting friends, gain confidence and maintain an active, healthy lifestyle—but they can also be very demanding.
